a phone call

please don't say it.

i told you this would happen.

i told you so.

didn't anyone tell you this would happen?

i don't want to hear any of that.

TJ just called.

he's pending a deployment that's been moved up from jan/2010 to sept/09

now he is wondering whether or not to -yes i know -sell the house.

here's why:
he leaves for 6 months of training in nov. he'll get 2 weeks at christmas and then he's gone for another 5 months
then he's home for about 4 or 5 months before he deploys.
so why in the world would we sell the house?
now that everything is coming together it is falling apart.
he's "sleeping on it"

oh but he still wants the carpet. we'll just have to figure out how to pay for it out of pocket now.

oy vey!

i think i am done for the day.

i am going to bed.

I'll be praying.

I'd cancel the carpet idea.
You can always just have it professionally cleaned really well, and maybe trimming the frayed bits and use of a hot glue gun will be enough for the rest. People sell and buy houses every day and I guarantee you they don't all have brand new carpet. They know they're not trying to sell a brand new house. Why try to make it that? Upgrades are one thing, but they should be minor. You can't very well ADD the cost of the carpet into the sale price of the house, and you can't really agree on $3000 less of a sale price if someone tries to negotiate for $ for their own new carpet.

I think you should just call the whole thing off.

Man. Why does everything seem to happen liek this? Just when things start to work out another bomb drops. Isn't it always the case. I agree, nix the carpet idea. If you do end up selling the house you could always take the money off of that for whoever buys it.
